Questions
- What is free, exactly?
- The whole desktop app: the canvas, OpenModelica simulation, results, pages, Python and Julia, and the privacy guard. Use it for work, teaching or research, with no time limit. Paid plans add hosted services and team controls; they never unlock the core app.
- What are AI credits?
- Pro and Team include 3,000 credits a month per person for the assistant on models EONEST hosts in the US (open models such as gpt-oss). A credit is $0.001 of model use at our cost, so 3,000 credits is roughly 20 million tokens of everyday work. When they run out, buy a top-up pack or switch to your own provider or a local model until next month. You are never charged for extra use without asking.
- Do I need credits to use AI?
- No. On any plan you can sign in with ChatGPT, use your own API key, or run models on your computer with Ollama. None of those use credits, and local models keep everything on your machine.
- What leaves my computer?
- Projects stay on your computer. Before anything reaches a model, the privacy guard can scan and redact it, and every outbound request is logged where you can read it. On Team and Enterprise, admins set those rules once for everyone.
- Do you have education pricing?
- Students and teachers get Pro free with a school email, and university labs get half off Team. Write to info@eonest.ai from your school address.
- How does billing work?
- Paid plans are billed through Polar, our merchant of record, which handles sales tax and VAT at checkout. Prices are in US dollars. Cancel any time; you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. Enterprise can pay by invoice.
